On the afternoon of April 2, 2024, CUSPEA scholars in Beijing gathered in Zhongguancun. Researcher Wang Chuilin, the academic deputy director of the China Center for Advanced Science and Technology, the 1980 CUSPEA scholar Professor Lou Yuqing, the distinguished professor of the Department of Physics of Tsinghua University, the 1981 CUSPEA scholar Researcher Xu Rongsheng, the chief scientist of the Network Security Laboratory of the Institute of High Energy Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the 1982 CUSPEA scholar, Everett X. Wang, the researcher of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Beijing Institute of Nanoenergy and Systems, the 1983 CUSPEA scholar, Zhang Ziping, the researcher of the Beijing Astronomical Observatory, the former director of the Bureau of Frontier Science and Education of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the Institute of Biophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the 1983 CUSPEA scholar Professor Xu Ruiming, Director of the Institute, attended the meeting, which was presided over by Professor Li Xinwan, Executive Curator of T.D.LEE Library of Shanghai Jiaotong University.
2024年4月2日下午，在京CUSPEA学者欢聚在中关村，围绕弘扬大师精神、中美科技交流、创新人才培养等方面进行交流。Pre-CUSPEA学者、中国高等科学技术中心学术副主任王垂林，1980届CUSPEA学者、清华大学物理系特聘教授楼宇庆，1981届CUSPEA学者、中科院高能物理研究所网络安全实验室首席科学家许榕生，1982届CUSPEA学者、中国科学院北京纳米能源与系统研究所研究员王小林，1983届CUSPEA学者、北京天文台研究员张子平，1983届CUSPEA学者、原中国科学院前沿科学与教育局局长、中国科学院生物物理研究所所长许瑞明参加会议，会议由上海交通大学李政道图书馆执行馆长李新碗教授主持。

李新碗对CUSPEA项目进行回顾，介绍了李政道图书馆在CUSPEA资源建设、资料研究、品牌建设、学者访谈、主题展览等方面所做的工作。他表示，未来希望建成高质量的CUSPEA研究中心，将其打造成为全球最全面、最完整、最系统的CUSPEA资源库，成为研究人才培养与交流的跨境、跨文化平台。
自由交流环节，各位学者畅所欲言，围绕CUSPEA项目未来发展相关问题热情探讨，纷纷提出宝贵的意见和建议：加强与各方的合作，整合优质资源，集中一切力量发展壮大CUSPEA之家品牌；通过邀请大师讲故事、编撰少儿科普读物、拍摄高水平纪录片等多个宣传渠道，弘扬李政道科学家精神，用科学家精神滋养培育新人；作为改革开放以后第一次较大规模地向国外派遣留学生的项目，CUSPEA项目意义深远。可以通过记录成才的CUSPEA学者的成长轨迹，总结关键模式和做法，为国际人才交流、科学文化交流、创新人才培养提供借鉴。
此次会议系CUSPEA之家汇聚CUSPEA学者的第一站，未来CUSPEA之家拟拜访聚集多位CUSPEA学者工作生活的城市，邀请CUSPEA学者同窗共叙、描绘蓝图，智慧未来、汇聚发展。
CUSPEA简介
“中国-美国联合招考物理研究生项目”（China-U.S.Physics Examination and Application）是李政道先生倡导，并联合中国科学院和教育部及数十所中国大学、加上北美90余所知名高校共同推行的。从1979年至1989年，送出了915位学者攻读研究生学位，他们被称为CUSPEA学者。
