Suzhou Metro Line 7 features a specially designed "Tsung-Dao Lee Theme Carriage"

On December 1, 2024, Suzhou Metro Line 7 launched its first scientist-themed train, Carriage 718, embarking on its inaugural journey. The six-carriage train features distinct themes: "Meritorious Scientists of the 'Two Bombs, One Satellite' Project," "Winners of China's Top Scientific and Technical Award," "Asteroids Named After Academicians from Suzhou," "Female Academicians," "Six Schools Named After Academicians," and the "Tsung-Dao Lee Exhibition Carriage." This multidimensional tribute showcases the legacies of renowned scientists from Suzhou, honoring their exceptional achievements while creating an immersive space for public engagement with scientific legacies. Designed in warm earth tones and adorned with elements such as starlight, scientific formulas, and Fibonacci spirals, the carriages blend science and art in a uniquely evocative atmosphere. Over the past half year of operation, this themed train has been warmly received and praised by both residents and visitors.

2024年12月1日，苏州地铁7号线迎来首列“科学家”主题专列718车的正式发车启程。这列共6节车厢的专列，分别以“‘两弹一星’功勋科学家”“国家最高科学技术奖获得者”“以苏州院士命名的小行星”“女性院士”“以院士命名的六所学校”及“李政道特展车厢”为主题，多维度展现苏州籍科学巨匠的群像，向他们的卓越成就致敬，并为公众打造沉浸式的科学家认知空间。车厢以温暖大地色系为主调，巧妙融入星光、科学公式与斐波那契螺旋线等元素，营造出科学与艺术交融的独特氛围。运行大半年，这条专列得到了广大市民及游客的喜爱和褒扬。

其中，第六节“李政道特展车厢”尤为引人注目，宛如一座移动的“李政道专题纪念馆”。它通过精心设计和丰富内容，不仅呈现了这位世界级物理巨擘的辉煌成就，更着重刻画了他心系桑梓的赤子情怀——多次回苏探访讲学、关心家乡教育发展、为苏州中学深情题词的感人片段跃然眼前。这节车厢如同浓缩的立体传记，在行进的地铁中播撒科学精神的火种，激励着每一位乘客，尤其是青少年，以这位从江南水乡走向世界巅峰的科学大师为榜样，勇攀知识高峰。
